Patiala: The Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi has given approval to Aryans Group of Colleges, Banur, near Chandigarh to start 2 years Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) course from session 2016-17 under Aryans Institute of Nursing.
INC has allotted 20 seats in the session 2016-17 to Aryans Group for its ANM course. These seats would be filled on Merit-Cum-Means basis. For SC/ST/OBC students no fee would be charged except the University Examination Charges. Amandeep Kaur Brar, Principal, Aryans Institute of Nursing giving information about the eligibility said that the candidates passing 10+2/Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or Arts or any other equivalent examination from recognised board with at least 45 per cent marks in aggregate are eligible for the course.
Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group added that Aryans has been running GNM course since last 4 years in which no seat left vacant. “The course focuses on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records,” she added. After successfully completing the courses one would become a ‘nurse’. “Nursing Career has unlimited Job opportunities”. Nurses can get jobs easily in both government and private sectors.
