Ludhiana: The confusion over the funds of Jagroan Bridge has finally reached to a conclusion between the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana and Railways. As in the F&CC meeting the budget for the construction of Jagraon bridge has-been passed by the concerned authorities on Tuesday.
Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Ghanshyam thori said that in the F& CC meeting, budget of around 11.05 crores have been passed for the Jagroan Bridge and the bridge would also be widened by the railways in reconstruction. However, MC would be responsible for the expenses, whereas reconstruction would be done by the railways. He further informed that they would try to secure the funds from the State Government.
they MCL authorities would give the time of one month to railways to revised estimated cost so that the tenders could be flouted as soon as possible. Much to the joy of the children and space lovers, Planetarium tenders have also been passed in F& CC meeting. The work on planetarium would also start soon in the Nehru Rose Garden. It is pertinent to mention that in Finance and Corporation Committee (F&CC) approves 115 agenda items out of 116 at the Mayor house on Tuesday and it was one of the agendas. The agendas were passed in presence of the Mayor, Harcharan Singh and Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Ghanshyam Thori among the other officials and one politician from each political party. The other main agendas passed in F&CC meeting are Unipoles and Amrut. The Amrut is about providing water supply to residents where there are no goverment connections.
