Any heart would cry after reading his words but his pleading words had no effect on the bookie who was pressurizing him for money .Sanjiv Kumar 40 r/o 38-A,Kamal Vihar, Leather Complex Road,Jalandhar took sulphos mixxed with beer .He had booked into Room No. 303 of Woodcity Hotel of Kartarpur .he drank one beer in the bar and ordered another one for his room . He then mixed sulphos in this bottle and drank it. He then called his elder brother and told him all .
The family ran towards the hotel and all burst into ears when they saw the dead body .Sanjiv had noted the bookie’s name as codeword in his mobile but He wrote the codeword in his sucide letter.
As per the information Sanjiv fell into the habit of betting on cricket. He lost much recently and owed Rs. twenty lakh to a single bookie. As per family, the bookie threatened him of dire consequences if he doesn’t pay him money soon. Sanjiv was under extreme pressure and so he took the ultimate step.
Kartarpur police has registered a case against the bookie.The police was conducting raids to arrest the accused.
