Ludhiana: In a major setback to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), leading industrialist of city and senior leader of AAP Surinder Singh Riyaat joined Congress party on Friday.
Surinder Singh Riyaat was senior Vice president of trade, transport and industry wing of Aam Aadmi party. He was active in party activities and played important role in arranging meetings of industrialists with AAP National convener Kejriwal.
Surinder Singh Riyaat joined Congress with the efforts of Ludhiana Congress leader Kulwant Singh Sidhu and in the presence of PPCC president Captain Amarinder Singh. Kulwant Singh Sidhu said that with the joining of Riyaat, Congress party will get support of Industrialists and Ramgarhia community in Atam Nagar and Ludhiana South Constituency.
After his joining, Riyaat said that he was suffocated in AAP with the policies and lack of vision of Kejriwal. AAP is only a bubble and will brust soon.
