Mohali:The robotics team of Learning Paths School, Mohali has brought laurels to its school by winning the ‘Best Project and Research Award’ and standing third at the National level of the First Lego League India, held at Noida on February 4-5. The team has qualified for the International Open Championship to be held later this year.
The team’s project ‘Thermo-cycle Bin’ protects the bio diversity from adverse effects of waste thermocol. The bin is a complete solution that converts waste non-biodegradable thermocol plates into biodegradable super glue, helping us move towards being a litter-free country and protecting the biodiversity, as a lot of fauna like birds and cattle choke to death after ingesting thermocol from our garbage dumps.
The school robotics team, ‘System Overload’, comprising of Ranvir Singh Sidhu and Gursimran Singh Bawa (Class X), Nimish Chhabra and Vansh Bansal (Class IX), Aasees Kaur and Ekam Singh (Class VIII), Samarth Sinha and Vanshit Bhola (Class VII), Jaiveer Singh and Shivarth Sauhta (Class VI), guided Tegbir Singh Bindra and Mohit Kanwar, had also won the award for ‘Best Core Values/ Team Work’ at the Chandigarh regional level.
