Ludhiana: The Magisterial inquiry has been marked by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rupinder Kaur in the alleged case of manhandling of the ATP Ravneet Kaur on Thursday.
It may be recalled here that the employees of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana (MCL) and leaders of BJP had locked horns over demolition drive being conducted by MCL against the alleged illegal building of local BJP leader Lucky Chopra in Kitchlu Nagar on Thursday evening. The ATP was allegedly manhandled during the drive. Both the parties had levelled raised serious allegations of manhandling against each other and protest was staged at PAU Police Station by the BJP leaders.
ATP Ravneet Kaur had alleged that on Thursday they went to demolish a building in Kitchlu Nagar which belongs to Lucky Chopra. When they were returning after demolishing some part of the building, Lucky Chopra who reached at the spot allegedly stood infront of the MC vehicle and manhandled her and in that course he also tore down her clothes.
Viewing the situation, the building inspector Harvinder Singh Honey intervened and Lucky Chopra allegedly thrashed him.
were raising slogans against Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria and MC authorities.
The MCL sources said that the BJP leader had got the building plan sanctioned in the year 2002 but it collapsed and MC authorities had asked him to get a new plan sanctioned. But, the leader kept on constructing the building without getting the plan sanctioned.
