Ludhiana: A 40-year-old man was found murdered in a house at Krishna Vihar in Meharban area on Thursday morning. The victim has sustained three bullet injuries including one in his head and two in chest. The Police have ruled out robbery angle behind the incident.
The victim was alone at home at the time of incident. On Thursday morning, the wife of deceased came to serve him breakfast and witnessed the body lying in the pool of blood. On being informed, Meharban Police reached the spot and initiated investigation in the case.
The deceased has been identified as victim Harvinder Singh alias Bittu (40) resident of Krishan Vihar in Meharban. He was cable operator.
According to information, the victim was having two wives but used to stay alone in a house. His first wife Santosh told that she came to serve breakfast to Bittu in the morning and was shocked to see the body lying in the pool of blood. The volume of television was high and nobody heard the sound of gunshots.
The Police officials claimed that the victim was murdered in morning and some acquaintance was behind the murder. The accused had a friendly entry in the house and immediately left the place after killing Bittu.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP city-4) Sandeep Sharma said that they are scanning CCTV footage of cameras. The police is investigating the case from all angles and the murder may be the result of family dispute. The victim lives alone in a house while he two wives live separately in the same area.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against unidentified persons in this context.
