Ludhiana: Inspiration for the youth of Ludhiana, the youngest ever Municipal Corporation Commissioner for Ludhiana, Ghanshyam Thori has changed the face of Ludhiana for the betterment.
The outgoing commissioner of the city, Ghanshyam Thori has made Ludhiana a graffiti city with beautiful chowks, maximum carpeted roads and ongoing sewerage work by spending around funds of Rs. 400 crores from the image of polluted and dirty city due to the heaps of dumps all around the places of city.
After the completion of the new looks of the Fountain, Aarti and Jalandhar by-pass chowk, the fountains of the Sherpur chowk were made functional by the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana on the orders of Ghanshyam Thori.
It is catching every eye on the road and people are praising the work of MC Commissioner. They further added such energetic and hardworking official is the need of the hour to make this country worth living. He was a boon for the city like Ludhiana and if he stays for certain more years in the city, its outlook would totally change for welfare of the city.
“Ghanshyam Thori is a very popular commissioner as people mostly talk about his works in the rose garden and other places during morning and evening walks. His initiative for wifi in rose garden and other places is appreciable with beautification of city. Otherwise also Ludhiana looks much neat now as compared to few years ago. We want that this commissioner should stay in Ludhiana only”, voiced senior citizen, Vijay Kumar who is retired banker with number of the other senior citizens sitting at the Rose garden during morning hours of the day in their discussions. He should at least remain CEO smart city as he is implementing work in good way.
In fact the city residents are very happy over the fact that he completed the long pending Indoor stadium and would make it inaugurate tomorrow. “We are very happy with the work of the MC Commissioner as this stadium would boost importance of the area”, said a professional, Reetika Takkar whose home is near stadium only. A government college going student, Raj Kashyap said, “The outgoing Municipal Corporation Commissioner is inspiration for all of us. As our family members give us his example that you should become like him. I want to become like him as he is not just making city beautiful only, but uplifting city in terms of technology to make zones wifi, which is the need of the hour.”
“Ludhiana taught me more patience” MC Commissioner
Its’ been an amazing experience. I enjoyed every bit of working at the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. Whatever tough situations I faced has only added to my experience and has taught me more patience. I feel blessed for getting a kind of love and response from the city residents towards me. I would love to come back in Ludhiana and to stay as the CEO Smart City, as people of Ludhiana are terrific and enterprising people. Without their active involvement, we would not have got selected into the first twenty smart cities. Rest, I will relinquish charge after overseeing inauguration of the Pakhowal Indoor Stadium in the Ludhiana.
