Mohali : The total number of dengue cases in SAS Nagar has reached 926 with 43 cases reported on Friday. Meanwhile health department speeded up the fogging in various sectors and phases of Mohali. According to sources this year figures of dengue patients reached at the peak and within 1-2 days thiswill cross one thousand. Whereas in last year’s total of 544. Every day, a minimum of 25-30 cases
are being reported in the district. According to officials of civil hospital Mohali daily average 7-8 cases are coming. Suspected patient’s numbers are more than 15 daily. Civil surgeon Mohali Dr Ranjir kaur guru informed that as many as 926 patients found positive for dengue till Friday; they are being treated in various hospitals of the district. Even many other suspected Patients are going still undergoing treatment in a private hospital. Recently, Total numbers of deaths are six, confirmed by civil surgeon Mohali.
According to authorities they are trying their best to cover the entire district, and all the MCs in the district have been instructed to fog the area at least twice a day, besides maintaining a record of the same. On the other side garbage containers can be seen open in city. Even the workers are without mask and gloves. Resident of Phase-2 Atul Sharma said that it can be seen in Mohali that MC employees are without proper precautions and sometime they are not even aware of precautions. He demands from administration for spraying DDT on garbage containers as well as other sensitive parts in city. Cause of dengue deaths are under question .
According to civil surgeon Mohali total numbers of deaths are six till date. But one the other side some private hospitals publicized deaths as dengue deaths. Ranjit Guru Civil Surgron told DP correspondent that most of time the cause of death is on dengue. In many cases person is already affected by other diseases like cardiology, diabetic, BP problems, etc. patient identified as dengue patient and later he may die due to some other old dieses. She advises public to verify facts before spreading rumors about dengue deaths.
