Ludhiana:Acting on the complaint of the Parents Association of BCM school, sector 32, the District Education Officer (DEO) office has written to all the private schools in the district to not to stop the results of the students giving the reference of Right to Education Act.
On Tuesday, the parents protested against the school authorities after the school allegedly denied providing results of the kindergarten section and demanded fees from the parents on which according to the parents, the fee committee has put a stay. The parents also met Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravi Bhagat on Wednesday.
The parents claimed that they will also move to the Fee committee of the High Court against the school authorities. One of the members of Parents Association Sandeep Singh said that the act of school has caused harassment to the parents and to the students as the students were expecting results and school denied the same. Further the parents said that they will continue their struggle against the school.
Despite repeated attempts the school Principal DP Guleria was not available for comments.
Earlier around 5 days ago, the Parents Association of Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar also staged protest against the school for not releasing the result of kindergarten section for the same reason. They have also submitted complaint to the DC office and the DEO office.
However, DEO (Secondary) Sarabjit Singh said that getting the complaint of the parents of the BCM school, they have written to the school authorities to not to stop the result at any cost as it cannot be done under Right to Education Act.
Further he said that same letter has also been sent to all the private schools in the district so that the parents and the students should not face harassment. Further he said that if the departments still receives any complaint then further action will be taken.
