Ludhiana: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will be having a Sangat Darshan programme on August 16-19 in Khanna assembly constituency.
Sangat Darshan will be held for one day in urban areas and for three days in rural areas during which the chief minister will distribute cheques of grants for development works. The chief minister will also listen to the grievances of public and resolve them on the spot.
Prior to it, the chief minister will address a state-level shaheedi conference on August 15, being organised in the memory of Karnail Singh Issru, a great martyr of Goa at his native village.
The workers of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have begun the preparations for the Shaheedi Conference and Sangat Darshan as well.
A meeting was held under the leadership of Jathedar Ranjit Singh Talwandi, area Incharge. Entrusting duties to the party workers, Jathedar Talwandi appealed them to inform each and every corner about the Sangat Darshan programme, to ensure maximum gathering and enabling people to arrive for putting their problems, if any, before the chief minister.
Jathedar Talwandi claimed that the interests of the state are safe only in the hands of Badal. Therefore, people of Punjab have made their mind to elect him as chief minister for the sixth term as the AAP and the Congress have no base in the state.
Further, Jathedar Talwandi said Punjab government has done so much development in the state in the last nine and a half years, which has never been done by any other predecessor government in the state. Besides this, so many schemes have been launched for the people including aata-daal scheme, shagun scheme, old age pension and widow pension, providing financial help to poor for repairs of their houses, Mai Bhago Scheme, Bhagat Puran Singh Insurance Scheme and millions people have been benefitted with these schemes.
Chairman Market Committee Prof. Gurbakhash Singh Bija, Block Samiti Chairman Jeet Singh Alour, Buta Singh Raipur, Gurdeep Singh Libra, Sukhwinder Singh Mohan Singh, Davinder Singh, Ajmer Singh, Manjit Singh, Buta Singh, Lalit Kumar, Balram Balu, Inderpal Singh an others were present on the occasion.

Former president of the Municipal Committee, Iqbal Singh Channi said that Shaheedi Conference being organised under the leadership of Jathedar Talwandi will beat all previous records and with the help of grants to be given in the Sangat Darshan programme, condition of the area will be changed.
