Patiala: Punjab Gau Raksha Dal chief Satish Kumar, who was lodged in the Central Jail here, on Wednesday brought to the Government Rajindra Hospital as he complained of uneasiness to the jail staff accompanying him in the court.
Earlier, Satish Kumar was brought from the Central Jail here to appear before a court, as he had filed a petition through his counsel to get bail, but his petition was rejected by the court and after this, Satish Kumar immediately complained of uneasiness stating that his hands and feet were feeling intensely cold. Following this, he was shifted to the hospital.
After providing emergency medical help in the hospital, later he was shifted to the Medicine Ward, where doctors taking care of him got some tests conducted on him.
When asked about Satish Kumar’s health, the doctors attending to him said that so far tests have been conducted and they would be in a position to say something about his health only after the reports of the tests were available.
It may be mentioned here that Rajpura Police had registered a case against Satish Kumar and two of his other accomplices on charges of extortion, sodomy and kidnapping etc. Later, on August 22, he was arrested by Rajpura Police on a tip-off from Brindawan in Uttar Pradesh and on August 24, the court had sent him in judicial custody and since he has been lodged in the Central Jail here.
