Ludhiana:Punjab Motor Sports Club organised an auto cross event, food festival, Off- roading and Air show on March 24 25 and 26 at the Ireo Waterfront, Sidhwan Canal Road, Ludhiana.
It is the only place in northern India to host a dirt track.
This club is certified by the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI) and will run under the guidelines laid out by the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India.
The motive of this event was to integrate the spirit and awareness of this thrilling sport.
Also to give an equal opportunity to all the participants and professionals to take part in a professionally organised competition and in a safe manner. Participants from all over India took part in this event.
It was also entertained by many professional car racers and bike riders from all places like Patiala, Chandigarh, Delhi and even from south India as well.
The drivers were very agile and at the same point they tackled everything with sharp bends and skillful turning points to score high, as said by Sanchit Dhir President of the Punjab Motor Sports Club (PMSC).
The club also has future plans to continue these events and expand their platform to make this sport happening and healthy trend among the youth. The Off-roading track was also made to cross six stages for Extreme and 4 stages for other 4*4 Vehicles. Apart from this, a kite festival and bike show along with 25 aeroplanes with jet engines were there to entertain the people and participants more.
