Jalandhar: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today paid tribute to late RSS leader Brig (Retd) Jagdish Gagneja and expressed hope that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would soon nab killers of Gagneja.
While speaking on the occasion of “Tribute Paying Ceremony” organised by RSS for Late Gagneja, who was shot in Jalandhar on 6th august and succumbed to his injuries recently, Rajnath said CBI would nab the attackers and even expose the conspirators of such an attack.
Later on while talking to reports on the sidelines of ceremony Rajnath Singh said “CBI has already initiated the investigation in the Gagneja murder case and hopeful to nab the accused soon”.
Asked about the possibility of any foreign hand behind the attack on Gagneja, Union Home Minister said “It will not be wise for me to divulge any detail of the investigation”.
On a query regarding any inputs from Intelligence on possibility of ISI’s attempt to disturb the peace of poll-bound state of Punjab, as expressed by the State Home Minister Sukhbir Badal, Rajnath without ruling out such possibility said “Pakistan always make such type of efforts”.
Prominent among others who attend the ceremony include Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal, State Ministers, Bhagat Chunni Lal, Madan Mohan Mittal, National Organisation Secretary Ram Lal and other BJP and RSS leaders.
