Patiala: After the announcement of party candidates by the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab’s Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister, Gulzar Singh Ranike was compelled to make a comment as he admits that the party leadership while selecting candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections has committed some wrong decision making for some of the candidates. The party candidate, Kabir Dass has been facing strong revolt in Nabha (reserve) assembly segment from within the party as the supporter of Halqua in-charge Makhan Singh Lalka started an agitation over the issue.
Ranike further said that though extra care has been taken while making the selection of the party candidates but in some places it made some wrong decisions. He said that such decisions have been already brought to the notice of the party high command as well and the assurance has been given to make the necessary rectifications in such decisions.
The minister also stated that he had a long talk over the issue with the party’s patron and the CM as well and also assured to look into the matter and ask for the rectification if any. Beside he also had a word over it with the Dy CM also gave ears to it and assured to look into it.
He thus urged the supporters of the Halqua in-charge, Makhan Singh Lalka to leave it to the party high command and it’s the party high command that will make amendments into it. Whereas, supporter’s of Makhan Lal Lalka were not in a position to cool down over the matter and they want to exert full pressure over the party high command to change the candidate.
The agitating supporter’s of the Makhan Singh Lalka coming forward with the argument that in every assembly segment the party has deployed halqua in-charges and given assignments to oversee all the developmental works in that assembly constituency areas and in most of the places those halqua in-charges given party tickets.
