Ludhiana: Following the alliance of Bains brothers with Aam Aadmi Party, Ludhiana district convener Col C M Lakhanpal and some other prominent leaders have opposed the decision of the party of joining hands with them.
Some volunteers of the party claimed that AAP has clearly mentioned in its constitution that it will not forge an alliance with any other party and that was the reason for their being upset with the party.
Questions are also being raised about the terms and conditions on which the alliance was made with the Bains brothers. For the last two days, comments and allegations have been doing the rounds as party volunteers stated that there were numerous cases filed on Bains brothers and despite this, AAP had allied with them.
AAP zone coordinator Colonel C M Lakhanpal said, “We have already send our views to high command that alliance with Bains brothers is not being accepted by the party workers as their ideology is not the same as with AAP.”
Lakhanpal further added, “Now we are waiting from the party’s final decision as this alliance is not being accepted by the workers. A step should be taken by the party.”
Some of the volunteers also levelled allegations against Bains brothers that they never sustain with one party as in the start, Bains brothers were with Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), then jumped to Lok Bhalai Party followed by SAD and now AAP.
