Patiala: Just a few days after the appointment of Gurtej Singh Dhillon as the chairman of Nabha Improvement Trust, the local unit of BJP has come down heavily against the appointment by the party high command and urged them to reconsider its decision.
Terming Dhillon as an outsider, local leaders showed their resentment against this decision and have also urged the party high command to appoint any of the local leaders in his place as Dhillon belongs to Patiala and no local leader was close to him.
Party rebels included BJP’s District Rural Vice-Chairman Bhushan Bansal, BJP Yuva Morcha president Vishal Sharma, Mandal Morcha president Dinesh Tiwari, BJP’s District Unit General Secretary Navdeep Bawa, Mandal Mahamantri Gaurav Jalota and the president of SC wing of the party Palinder Pal Diamond Inderjit
While raising their voice in a voice vote against this appointment, the afore-mentioned leaders said that the party high command has totally ignored the claims of the senior leaders of the party belonging to Nabha and instead appointed an outsider. They said that Dhillon has nothing to do with Nabha or its people and he has never done anything for the party in Nabha as well. They said that they are not going to tolerate such an injustice with the senior leaders of the city and are going to oppose it tooth and nail.
