Ludhiana: The Principal of Ramgarhia Girls College, Dr Inderjit Kaur, has been elected as the member of Senate of Panjab University in the elections conducted in Principal’s constituency.
A total number of eight principals have been elected as senators. Only two female principals, Dr Nisha Bhargava from Chandigrah and Dr Inderjit Kaur from Ludhiana, have made it to the senate.
Dr Inderjit Kaur conveyed her heartfelt thanks to the voters who put their trust in her and enabled her to become a senator.
Ranjodh Singh, President and Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, felicitated her with a siropa and a bouquet on her achievement. Ranjodh Singh said, “It is a proud moment for us. By becoming a senator, Dr Kaur will be able to discuss the challenges being faced by colleges at a higher level and thus, bring about a positive change in the present system of education.”
Jagtar Singh congratulated her on her success in the elections.
Vice Principal of the college, Dr Ripandeep Kaur, congratulated Dr Inderjit Kaur on the behalf of the staff members. She said that the entire staff was elated at her success and hope that her stint as a senator would prove to be productive.
