The toilet block is constructed by Rotary Club Chandigarh Central for boys, girls and staff. The handing over ceremony was held in the presence of Rotary Literacy chairman PDG Manpreet Singh Gandhoke, president Rajinder Cheema, Sukhjit Singh (District Education Office Mohali), Santosh Rani and Daisy (Deputy DEO’s) and Headmistress Amarjit Kaur.
Literacy Chairman Manpreet Singh on behalf of Club also presented set of 300 books for setting up library in the school as part of “Happy School” initiative. Project Chairman R D Singh Riar on behalf of Club presented set of posters for displaying in the classes on personal hygiene and care and booklet for personal use by children for hygiene and how to keep good health.
The School does not have students benches for the students. DG Raman Aneja promised on behalf of the club to provide the students Benches as well as do the white washing and provide hand wash station under the Win’S programme initiated by Rotary.
DG Raman also promised to provide training to teachers, start literacy classes for the parents of students who are mostly children of migratory labours.
After seeing the talent of students he also promised to nurture sports and extra-curricular talent of students by providing them proper platform as well as on TV channels. To commemorate DG Raman also planted saplings of medicinal plants in the School and build herbal garden.
