Patiala: The State Bank of Patiala is observing “Vigilance Awareness Week-2016”, with the theme “Public participation in promoting Integrity and eradicating corruption”. The ‘week’ commenced with the administering of ”Pledge” by Anant Upadhyay, Chief Vigilance Officer to Haridas K V, (Officiating Managing Director), Papia Sengupta, Chief General Manager (RB) and General Managers and Deputy General Managers of the Bank at Head Office. Employees of the bank, nationwide, also took “Pledge” in their respective offices/branches, across the country.
All the customers and employees of the bank are also requested to take the ‘E-Integrity Pledge’, a new initiative of CVC for taking the pledge by all the citizens as well as organisations. To publicise E-Pledge, a message in this regard is being flashed on all the ATMs of the Bank PAN India and also at Bank’s Internet and Intranet site.
To mark the week, a number of activities have been planned by the Bank in collaboration with various educational institutions like Schools, Colleges and Universities at five towns, specially identified by CVC, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Patiala to spread awareness amongst Citizens with special focus on youth about promoting Integrity and eradicating Corruption. Awareness Gram Sabhas would be organised in all the rural and semi-urban branches of the Bank across the country.
