Ludhiana: The issue of occurrence of an incident of falling of a class-VII student from rooftop of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, is likely to be heated up in the near future as the parents association of the school has announced to take up the matter before the Child Right Commission besides tackling it with the local police.
The parents’ association president, Rajinder Ghai said it was surprising that a student went at rooftop of the building and the school’s security staff remained unaware. He pointed out that had there been complete vigil by the security guards then the tragic incident would not have happened. He told that they had met the family members of the schoolboy who sustained serious injuries in the incident.
Ghai asserted that the school authorities should come out with the truth and give answer to all the questions in the minds of everyone. He also regretted that the school authorities were refusing to provide CCTV footage of the school. He said this fact had been revealed by the parents of the schoolboy.
He said they wanted to take up the matter with Child Right Commission as there was need to probe thoroughly as there was something “wrong”.
The matter has also been raised by Students Organisation of India (SOI) zonal president Meetpal Singh Dugri. He said they will take the matter “seriously”.
The injured schoolboy is still undergoing treatment at DMCH, Ludhiana. He is giving little respond and his condition is still critical, say the doctors.
The doctors on requesting anonymity said that the condition of the child is very critical, as he is having multiple injuries, unstable blood pressure. They said the child is on ventilator, adding that they are trying their level best and also praying for the recovery of the child.
The staff of the school claimed that the message being circulated on social networking sites about issuing the TC to the child is totally false. Meanwhile, the management and staff of the school are helping the family of the student in every possible way and praying for the early recovery of child.
