Ludhiana: High drama witnessed at Ferozepur Road when several Youth Congress activists removed their shirts to protest against Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat during his city visit on Monday.
The youth Congress activists alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is playing in the hands of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and he is also responsible for the decision of demonetization of currency which caused inconvenience to every citizen.
However, the police officials stopped the protesting Youth Congress activists and detained them. Late in the evening the protestors were released from police custody.
Mohan Bhagwat was in city for a personal visit, heavy police force was deployed outside Madhav Sadan at Ferozepur Road where Bhagwat stayed for few hours. Led by Youth Congress secretary Parvinder Lapran several youth Congress activists removed their shirts and raised slogans against RSS chief and Narendra Modi.
Lapran said that after the decision of PM Modi regarding the demonetization of currency notes, every citizen is facing problem and people were away from basic needs including food. Now, the currency notes were invalid and we want to give same currency notes to Mohan Bhagwat as RSS and BJP government want to see people cashless, said Lapran.
