Ludhiana: With the all three major political parties Akali Dal, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party were in race to form government the turncoats who have shifted loyalties during elections were having sleepless nights. As majority of leaders have left ruling party during elections and are now worried as political experts also hinted that Akali Dal- BJP alliance is again in the race to form government for the third time. The turncoats feared that they might face hurdles in political carrier if the party which they opted may not come into power.
In Ludhiana also, several leaders including Madan lal Bagga, Dimple Rana, Jagmohan Sharma, Vipan Sood Kaka, Hemraj Aggarwal, Kirtinderpal Singhpura have shifted loyalties from their respective parties.
Three leaders Madan Lal Bagga, Hemraj Aggarwal, and Singhpura have contested elections as independent while Vipan Sood have contested elections on the ticket of Lok Insaaf Party after quitting BJP.
The other leaders who were hoping better political career after shifting party were also having sleepless nights as present poll scenario indicates no majority to any party in elections.
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has termed Madan Lal Bagga as opportunist and backstabber. Badal also stated that he came to know that Bagga has committed fraud with several people and he will have to face action for the same.
Rebel Congress leader Hemraj Aggarwal was also offered post of Mayor after the Congress will form government but he was reluctant on his decision and contested as an independent. As Aggarwal was far from the victory, his political carrier is also hanging in fire.
Akali Dal leader Jagmohan Sharma who has joined Congress is now eyeing the post of district Congress president but his fate would be decided after March 11. Similarly, Dimple Rana who have shifted to Akali Dal after quitting Congress few years back is now also short of options as he left the party in support of Madan lal Bagga during elections.
