Jalandhar: Rural Police solved the blind murder case of Khahira Village of Phillaur .Dead body of a person was found in the fields of a farmer Rajwinder in the morning of 8th July.The case remained untraced for nearly two months but CIA received information on 6th Sept that the deceased identified later on as Sant Lal 45, of Mohalla Santokhpura of Phillaur was killed by his sons only.Both were arrested on Tuesday night by the CIA Staff Jalandhar Incharge Shiv Kumar.Rural SP Parminder Singh Bhandal revealed the details in a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
SP Bhandal told media persons that the arrested sons Narinder and Gurpreet Singh confessed of their crime immediately.
“These two told us that Sant Lal was a habitual drinker and he used to beat their mother.On 7th July he again under the influence of liquor started beating his wife.The sons tried to stop him but he started beating them also.Elder son Narinder Nindi was mad with anger and strangled his father to death with his parna(cloth).Both sons put the dead body on their Platina bike and threw it in the fields in the night.Mother kept her mouth shut as she didn’t want to loose her sons also after her husband”Parminder Bhandal told.
Police has booked the arrested persons in FIR No. 152 u/s 302,201.The parna and the Platina bike used in murder and dumping of body have been recovered by the police.
“We didn’t kill him intentionally. He just fell down during the fight and died” Gurpreet one of the accused sons said.
