Ludhiana: Students of Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana continued their protest on fifth consecutive day on Monday and sold vegetables and clean vehicles in front of the university’s gate No.2 on Ferozepur Road as a mark of the protest.
The protesting students claimed that they wanted to realise the authorities that this would be the only option for them despite of doing their graduate and post graduate degrees.
A student on requesting anonymity told that a total of 600 posts of ADO (Agriculture Development Officer) out of total 934 and 40 posts of HDO (Horticulture Development Officer) out of 174 were still lying vacant in Punjab. He also said that students had met the concerned minister and senior officials but nothing had been yet regarding the matter.
