Ludhiana: 66th Annual Athletic Meet was organised at GHG Khalsa College, GurusarSadhar. Hockey Star, Sukhvir Singh Grewal Director, Training and Curriculum, Punjab Institute of Sports Chandigarh graced the athletic meet with his presence. In his address, he congratulated one and all for organizing this meet where he talked about how sports contribute to an improved sense of well-being of an individual. Participation in sports significantly contributes to improved quality of sleep, minimising anxiety and depression, better ability to fight diseases, etc. He also said that children in sports are equally good in academics.
The inaugural of the athletic meet was done by the Chief Guest along with the President of the Governing Council, Manjeet Singh Gill by hoisting the college flag. This was followed by a March Past in which students from all the three colleges of GHG Khalsa Colleges (Degree, Pharmacy and education), Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana participated. The Director, Training and Curriculum, Punjab Institute of Sports Chandigarh, continued the tradition of saluting the march past followed by the torch ceremony which is a symbol of spirit, knowledge and life. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
