Ludhiana: Another suspected dengue patient has died in the city. The deceased has been identified as 12-year-old Vishal. He has been undergoing treatment at CMCH, Ludhiana.
This is the second suspected dengue death in the city.
Vishal reportedly died at CMC Hospital here on Tuesday evening. According to the official, the patient was admitted four days ago.
The parents of the deceased told that Vishal was admitted at Rajwant Hospital in Doraha. However, the hospital had referred the patient to CMCH, they said, adding but the condition of Vishal got further deteriorated and he died.
Enquiries conducted by ‘Daily Post’ revealed that the numbers of dengue patients have reached to 98 and Chikungunya cases have risen to five. Still, the patients suffering from dengue are coming up on regular basis and getting admitted at different city hospitals.
When contacted, Renu Chattwal, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana said, “We have no report of any death of suspected dengue patient.”
