Ludhiana: A 45-year-old man passed a message ‘take care of your mother’ to his son over phone and committed suicide by hanging self in a shop at grain market.
Following the suicide note, the police have registered case of abetment to suicide against six persons in this regard.
The deceased has been identified as Jatinder Kumar (45). He was having monetary dispute with the accused.
Gourav Ahuja, son of deceased stated to the police that his father has gone to shop from house. He called me over phone and said that “take care of your mother”. Later, the phone was switched off, he added.
Gourav said that when he reached the shop in grain market and witnessed the lifeless body of his father hanging in the shop. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died. A suicide note and cash worth Rs.21,000 was recovered from the pocket of the deceased.
Following the statement of son of the deceased and the suicide note, a case has registered against Jatinderpal Saluja of Haibowal, Ashok Babbar of Shivpuri, Pooran Thapar, Kakku, Vivek and Ashwani under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC.
Investigation Officer in the case at Police Station Salem Tabri said that they have launched manhunt for the arrest of the accused.
