Ludhiana: A tearful adieu was given to inspector Bhupinder Singh who died in his house on Thursday morning. The pal of gloom descended after the death of senior police official of Ludhiana police. After getting the news of death of Bhupinder Singh, senior officials including Commissioner of Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh reached the hospital.
Late in the evening, Bhupinder Singh was cremated at Model Town Extension cremation ground amid the heart rendering scenes. A guard of honor was given by the team of Ludhiana Police during the cremation ceremony. Police commissioner Jatinder Aulakh, ADCP Paramjit Pannu, ACP Surinder Mohan, ACP Rupinder Kaur besides several others laid wreaths on the body of Inspector Bhupinder Singh.
Apart from the family members, the colleagues and friends of Bhupinder Singh were unable to stop their tears. The officials remembered the service of Bhupinder Singh as SHO of NRI Police Station, CID Wing of Punjab police, and Cyber Crime Wing. Singh had played an important role in cracking many cases with the help of cyber crime expertise.
He had also assisted the other officials too. Bhupinder Singh had served UN Missions in Kosovo and Sudan. He had returned from Sudan around six months ago, said his close friend.
