Ludhiana: Tension prevailed outside a dhaba near railway station on late Wednesday night when two groups entered in clashed. According to information, the firing also took place outside dhaba but no action has been taken in this connection as both the groups settled the matter through compromise.
Meanwhile, the police denied any firing incident and registered case against owner of Sher- e- Punjab Dhaba for opening the shop after 11pm and violating the orders of Police Commissioner.
The Police Commissioner have issued prohibitory orders for not to open eateries, restaurants and dhabas after 11pm.
According to information two groups of youngsters were drinking alcohol outside the dhaba on roadside and reportedly entered in clash. Sources said that one group fired gunshot which led to panic. Later, both the groups fled from the spot and did not lodge any police complaint.
The police reached the spot but registered case of violating prohibitory orders of Police Commissioner.
It is pertinent to mention here that despite the orders of Police Commissioner, most of the eateries, remained open till late night.
