Ludhiana: Many of the cases have been heard in the city where servant loots the house of the house where they are working from past several years. However, the police have given clear instructions to the city people to register the servants working in their houses at nearby police station for their verification but most of them are working without registration.
A recent case has come to the light, in which two Nepalese servants have managed to steal away cash and gold from a house in Gurdev Nagar. According to the police, members of the family were away to Delhi for attending a marriage function from past two days. On their return, the family members learnt about the theft on Sunday evening.
On being informed, the police personnel from division number 5 started investigations after reaching at the spot. The police have registered a case against Prem Kumar and Arjun Kumar in this regard.
Pappu Ghai, factory owner of hosiery informed the police that they had employed Prem Kumar and Arjun Kumar two months back as domestic helpers. He along with family members went to Delhi to attend a wedding on Friday. On Sunday evening, when they came back they were disturbed to see the house was plundered and both domestic helpers were missing.
Inspector Beant Juneja, SHO at Police Division No.5, said that the house owner told that cash worth Rs.30,000 and gold worth Rs.45 lakh were stolen from the house. The police have launched an investigation for the arrest of the accused.
