Ludhiana:The Youth Congress activists have ended hunger strike after an assurance of MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu and district president of Youth Congress Rajiv Raja on Wednesday.
Youth Congress activist Aakash Tiwari was on hunger strike from the last few days over the problems of bus passes which students face while travelling. He alleged that Transport Department creates problem while issuing bus passes to students.
Tiwari said state government has started bus pass facility for only government schools and colleges. Due to that students studying in private institutions bear the burden economically.
Ashu and Raja assured full support to Tiwari. Ashu said that he will raise the issue in Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections and also with the concerned authorities.
Raja alleged that state government has failed to provide good education and now creating problems for students in getting bus passes.
